Big Al

Alan & Linda Sleight alias Big Al and The Silverfox live in Woodplumpton, Preston. England. We have 15 grandchildren between us from two marriages. Linda's two Children have produced 8 grandchildren and my three offspring have 7 between them. We have one grandchild lives with us full time, her name is Robyn and she is a truly Delightful child. Linda is General Manager and Company Secretary for Preston Paints, she has Worked there for nearly 30 years. She has just gone part time with a view to retiring Next year. Linda is a Great Country Music Fan and an avid Line Dancer, I enjoy the Music but have not joined in the Dancing yet ! Big Al is Plant and Transport Manager for McAlpine PPS Pipeline Systems. We Are currently constructing a 42k 1050mm dia high pressure steel welded Pipeline from Mawdesley to Warrington in The North West of England for Transco British Gas which will eventually form part of the National Grid. I am responsible for The purchase and procurement of Plant and Equipment for this contract. I work long hours (upto 13 hours per day) so at the moment I do not get the time to devote to my hobbies and pursuits. I am an avid Formula One fan, I support The Jordan Team and all The British F1 Drivers involved in the Sport. I like tinkering with computers but need more time to learn all the tricks of the Trade. I also am interested In Classic Vintage Commercial Vehicles and my latest venture is an Old Post war British Truck, a 1945 Thorneycroft 6 ton Dropside Flatbed Truck which I have recently Purchased with a view to Showing and entering in Vintage Rallies.
