Nickname: Bioboffin
I am 58 years old, and have a wonderful wife, Alison, and two sons (both now grown up).
My justification for my newsgroup name is that my subject area is Microbiology.
I have worked as a food industry product developer (briefly) and a secondary school science teacher (for most of my life).
I live in Peterborough, UK, and I enjoy life.
I am a philosopher at heart, and both of my sons have degrees in philosophy (although I don’t).
At one point (from 1999 - 2005 – just in time for the millennium ‘bug’!), I was responsible for a computer network of 50 or so computers, and at another point (for many years), I was responsible for staff training.
I enjoy cooking, photography, computers, wine and occasionally cars (not simultaneously, obviously).
I am no sportsman. I was once described as a diplomat! You can make of that what you wish!
I like people.
