In real life, my name is Jane Dumestre and I live in New Orleans where
I
was born on July 17, 1954.
I grew up in the French Quarter but, afraid I'd only ever be a secretary, at 18 I joined the US Air Force.
After 4 active duty years in the Air Force, I went Army National Guard
at our lakefront airport.
My primary civilian career has been
tourism--destination management, event/convention/group tour planning
and marketing.
I am the old maid aunt, the spinster sister and the unclaimed treasure of the family
Seriously, I made a lot of mistakes but I didn't marry any of them.
(ba-dum. So many great one-liners in my life)
Didn't have their children either, thank gawd.
In my mid 40's I dropped out of the establishment, got rid of my car
and
began to rearrange my life so that I can stay home as much as
possible.
I love my apartment, my two dogs and cats, my neighbors.
Now I babysit, do legal research, some data entry, a little consulting work,
and paint faces for birthday parties and corporate picnics at the zoo.
Yep, I've found the peace of mind place and I'm loving it.
