Win's Hoilday in Florida

I loved every minute of the stay, and would love to return, often.
The Condominiums where we stayed were excellent, and the mini cruise to Nassau, was heavenly.
All the flights from and to England were extremely good. No complaints anywhere.
We explored parts of Orlando near our hotel on foot, as I was forbidden to drive, and my sister was scared of the traffic, and I would have been scared of driving with her anyway.
So we used taxis, or shuttle buses. We visited EPCOT, and truly enjoyed every minute. We took lots of photos so we have many memories.
One day we went to the Space Centre.
That was also very interesting and so was the bus journey there.
The driver was very good on natural history, so he told us to look out for alligators or Turtles or dolphins.
He even stopped the bus for us to get off and take photos.

The journey down to Fort Lauderdale was long and expensive as we took a taxi.
We were told that the buses and trains were unreliable and inconvenient in timing,
So we had a good trip with a lovely lady driver, from Hotel to the docks.
That cut a lot of worry out so it was worth the expense.

There must have been several thousand people on the ship, and the immigration set up took quite a long time.
Once aboard, we were staggered at the way we were looked after. We were waited upon all the time.
The food, and cabins, and the entertainment on board was great.
At Nassau we walked along the streets and enjoyed looking in the shops.
We decided to find a beach, so we tried a bus, and it worked.
Someone told us to just go along to the Hilton, and walk through the foyer, and keep going till we came to the beach, so we did, and we spent the rest of the day on the beach.
That was really beautiful.

Back to Fort Lauderdale, we had to find our next hotel. So we found a taxi and soon were on the next part of our holiday.
The Hotel was a Sheraton, and it was great. The whole atmosphere was so grand.
Our room was beautiful, with a metre high bed. We were worried that we might fall out of it , but that didn't happen.
The quadrangle in the middle of the building was planted with palm trees, around a stream and waterfall.
We walked, exploring again, and we met several people and talked to them.
We visited The Butterfly world one day, and a huge 'flea market' another day.
We watched a wedding taking place in the 'jungle' part of the hotel and we saw the Eagles, baseball team I think.
It was so unbelievable going out and not needing coats or cardigans, which we always need here in England.
I was careful not to get burnt by the sun, but I did manage to get a bit of tan.
Not that I can show it off in this icy part of the world.
Our journey home was good and as usual, everything went so well.
The whole trip was surprisingle luxurious, and organised.
I'll be visiting Florida again. Maybe when Rami is old enough to visit Disney world. I'd have a driver then.
Roger would want to be independant, I'm sure.
