I was born in Germany and lived there off and on to age 11.
I have travelled all over this country missing only Alaska, Hawaii and
California.
Hobbies are gardening and occasionally handcrafts, reading
and crossword puzzles, herbs and wildflowers and anything I can do outdoors.
I'm a union electrician doing mostly industrial work.
Bob's a writer whose commentaries on Appalachian life appear regularly
on Kentucky Public radio, and occasionally on National Public radio.
He served nearly twenty years in the US Navy
He has held various other jobs including social worker, and computer system technician for a group of regional hospital clinics.
He also likes crossword puzzles and is a voracious reader, often dipping into the mortgage budget for new books (LOL).
He's played Santa Claus locally, all year long little kids
make big eyes at him and whisper, "I know who THAT is."
(I've got a neat picture of that, if you'd like it)
We've been married a year and a half and each have a son from previous
marriages,
and now a tiny new granddaughter (Hailey Nicole Brooks, born
10-31-2002)

Bob's homepage (maintained by me) is at Bob's Homepage
We live on 30 acres in a house Bob's paternal grandfather once lived in,
with three big dogs and nine bold cats.
